He is survived by his wife of 56 years, four children, twelve grandchildren and six great –grandchildren. Growing up in St. Charles, Mont graduated from Fielding High in Paris, Idaho in 1942 and entered the military. He served in WWII with the 71st Infantry Division- Europe and was involved in the liberation of the Gunskirchen Lager Concentration Camp. After the war he attended Utah State University and received his BA. In college he met Patricia Jackson and they were married in 1952. Hired in 1953 as a teacher for Oxnard High School, Mont later worked as boys Vice Principle. During this time Mont attended USC and received his Masters in Education. Norm has two children also, ages 35 and 32. Together we have four grandchildren. Marli age 11; Emily age 5; Camren age 2; and the newest, Benjamin age 5 months. It's impossible to reflect on 40 years in a paragraph, so I won't even try. Norm and I retired and re-located to Pueblo West, Colorado where we are enjoying a much slower pace.
